美陸軍預防自殺特別部隊今天上午公佈了一份綜合報告，評估了陸軍目前面臨的嚴重自殺問題，提出了軍隊高層的應對計畫。美陸軍副參謀長彼得?基亞雷利昨天已經向美國會簡要會報了這份計畫。預防自殺特別部隊負責人克里斯多夫?菲爾布裡克上校表示，報告是美陸軍一直在進行的相關工作一部分，“報告提出了解決這一問題的不同方法，但並不是最後的步驟。我們意識到需要時間來和軍隊所有人一道進行必要的調整，這只是我們相關工作的繼續。”
